Review and analyze company responses to requests for proposals, bids, and offers, and provide guidance to business clients regarding related to such transactions and opportunities
Provide legal advice and counsel to executives, directors of departments, and other business clients, using discretion and exercising independent judgment in numerous areas of contract and commercial law, general corporate transactions, and adversarial matters
Research and analyze various legal issues presented by clients and/or pertinent to business operations or matters and present results through preparation of legal memoranda and/or interaction with clients
Serve as liaison between Musket’s legal department and certain business clients and representing the department on assigned task forces and committees
Anticipate and identify potential legal issues and develop and recommend company policies and positions on same
Administrative
Pursue continuing education on industry, evolving business operations, and company business strategies
Assist in managing provision of legal services by outside counsel and other legal service providers as related to business units and/or matters
Ensure accurate billing by outside counsel on a project specific basis
Timely and accurately enter and update status of projects in matter management system and contracts in enterprise contract system
Maintain accurate time log in matter management system for work performed on behalf of Musket Corporation and its affiliates, as required
Various tasks as needed
Be able to work independently and with little supervision
Occasional moving of equipment and/or lifting up to 50 pounds
Occasional evening or weekend work
Possible infrequent overnight travel
