Position: Marketing and Communications Manager
Employment Type: Permanent Part-Time (20 hours per week)Compensation: $32.45 hourly (subject to increases per the pay grid)Reports to: Executive DirectorLocation: Remote in British Columbia, Canada
Ideal Candidate Profile
We are looking for a highly motivated marketing and communications professional with a track record of success in nonprofit or corporate communications. The ideal candidate should meet the following qualifications:
A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
At least 3 years of experience in marketing, communications, or public relations, preferably in a nonprofit setting.
Strong understanding of digital marketing strategies, including social media management, email marketing, and website maintenance.
Demonstrated ability to create and implement strategic marketing plans and communication initiatives.
Experience in donor engagement, networking, and building relationships with stakeholders.
Exceptional writing and editing skills for various content types (social media, blogs, newsletters, press releases, etc.).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, email marketing tools, and social media management platforms.
Knowledge of SEO, digital advertising, and analytics tools to measure marketing effectiveness.
A valid, current, and clear Criminal Record Check completed through the Criminal Records Review Program.
Commitment to Care for Women’s Statement of Faith and mission, ensuring alignment with the organization's values and guiding principles.
Key ResponsibilitiesMarketing and Communications Strategy
Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing and communications plan aligned with the organization’s mission and goals.
Ensure consistent branding and messaging across all communication platforms.
Monitor and adjust strategies based on engagement needs and performance data.
Develop strategic communication plan to foster partnership with churches, mentors, and organizations.
Digital Marketing and Social Media
Create and manage content for social media platforms, ensuring regular posting and audience engagement.
Maintain the organization's website, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
Implement SEO strategies and digital marketing campaigns to increase online visibility.
Oversee video projects ensuring clear communication and goals are met through creative storytelling, call to actions and emotional impact.
Email and Donor Engagement
Develop and oversee email marketing campaigns, including donor outreach and engagement.
Write, design, and schedule email communications that align with fundraising and community engagement goals.
Develop yearly Impact/Donor Report
Public Relations and Networking
Build relationships with media outlets, influencers, and community partners to increase brand awareness.
Write press releases and coordinate media coverage to promote Care for Women’s initiatives.
Represent the organization at networking events and community gatherings.
Manage outbound PR communications, including social media updates and external relations.
Develop Public Relations Strategy
Budgeting, Fundraising and Grant Support
Support fundraising efforts by creating compelling marketing materials for donor engagement.
Assist in researching and writing grant applications.
Align marketing strategies with fundraising goals to maximize donor contributions.
Manage annual marketing budgets, ensuring all financial records are accurately maintained.
Team Leadership and Collaboration
Work closely with the Executive Director to align marketing initiatives with organizational priorities.
Lead and mentor staff or volunteers assisting with communications and outreach efforts.
Monitor marketing performance metrics and adjust strategies as needed.
