Role overview
The firm is looking to recruit a Payroll Administrator to join the Nottingham office. The successful candidate will be responsible for weekly and monthly payrolls for a variety of UHY Hacker Young Clients.
Job description
Responsible for own portfolio of client payrolls
Operating weekly and monthly payrolls for approximately 60-70 clients
Obtain the relevant information from the client, process the information and send the final payroll and pay slips etc to the client
Notify the client of the PAYE and NIC liability
Arrange the BACS payment of employees for some of the clients
Undertake quality control reviews of the payrolls
Dealing with client queries regarding payroll matters
Dealing with Auto enrolment; pension letters and uploads.
Working arrangements
We will consider full time Monday-Friday (core hours 9.00AM to 5.30PM – 37.5 hours per week) or part time Monday-Friday (30 hours per week).

Person specifications – Desirable experience and skills
Responsible for own portfolio of client payrolls

Ability to work with a minimum of supervision, i.e. self-motivated person
Demonstrable payroll experience working in an accountancy practice (Preferred)
Experience in managing a portfolio of large and smaller clients (Preferred)
To be able to demonstrate previous experience of providing a high quality service to clients, including experience in regularly communicating with clients and answering queries
Experience of using Star Payroll (advantage, not essential)
Ability to work with a minimum of supervision, i.e. self-motivated person
To be able to demonstrate previous experience of taking ownership of tasks, and deadlines
