Te Whiwhinga mahi - The Opportunity- Principal Property Specialist
As a Principal Property Specialist you will provide professional in house property advice, project management and lead strategic input into all aspects of property, in particular property acquisition. You'll work on many diverse transformational projects with a wide range of parties and experts in your profession and related disciplines.
This role works closely with other units and divisions within Auckland Transport, Auckland Council and Eke Panuku Development Auckland to ensure property acquisition and disposal programmes are developed and implemented in accordance with statutory provisions.
Key Tasks include:
Provide high level property advice and guidance to support the achievement of project outcomes and the property acquisition needs of Auckland Transport's projects.
Identify scope of potential purchases and land involved with attributes such as: ownership, legal description, tenure, interests of other parties and the like.
Commission and interpret valuation reports for the land involved.
Manage the negotiation of agreements for the sale and purchase of land under the Public Works Act (PWA).

A tertiary qualification in Property, Law, Business or Valuation
Desired:
Experience within the wider property industry as a subject matter expert (8yrs +)
Experience and knowledge of the Auckland real estate market
Knowledge of the Public Works Act, Local Government Act and Resource Management Act
