The opportunity:

Receptionist is focused on supporting the entire Fortitude Valley office as the first point of contact for inbound telephone inquiries and office visitors/guests. This will include receiving and relaying messages/telephone calls and greeting guests/visitors, documenting information, and issuing appropriate security passes. This role is responsible for creating a professional and welcoming environment while efficiently managing the reception operations.

How you will make an impact:

You will be greeting visitors, answering phone calls, and handling inquiries professionally, overseeing office operations, including scheduling, filing, and correspondence, maintaining stock levels and order supplies as needed.

You will schedule meetings and manage senior leaders’ calendars, assist with invoicing, creating purchase orders, and basic bookkeeping and help onboard new employees on board and coordinate office policies.

You will organize office events and book travel accommodation, ensure office equipment and IT systems function properly and ensure safe working procedures and practices are followed at all times including the wearing and maintenance of assigned Personal Protective Equipment, attendance required health, safety, and environment training and report injury, incidents, hazards and near miss events.

You will be responsible for compliance with relevant HSE policy and procedures, ensuring proactive risk assessments take place and corrective actions monitored / followed up. Build an injury, incident, near miss and hazard reporting culture within your team, guaranteeing reported incidents will be investigated and action taken.

You will lead, model, drive and hold itself accountable for the highest standards of health, safety, and environment to ensure Zero Harm is achieved. Create a workplace where everyone views health, safety, and environment as the most important non-negotiable value of your business.

Your background:

You hold a bachelor’s degree.

Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other administrative tools.

Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

Prior experience in office management or reception roles is preferred.
