Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant with a strong background in the event or media industry. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of TDS, tax regulations, journal entries, sales, purchases, and budget preparation. This role requires excellent analytical skills, a keen eye for accuracy, and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:
• Financial Reporting: Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, ensuring compliance with industry standards and company policies.
• Tax Compliance: Manage and ensure timely payment and filing of TDS, GST, and other tax obligations. Stay updated with the latest tax regulations affecting the media and event industry.
• Journal Entries: Record and monitor all journal entries, ensuring accuracy and completeness in accordance with accounting principles.
• Sales & Purchase Management: Oversee and manage accounts related to sales and purchases, ensuring proper documentation, invoicing, and reconciliation.
• Budget Preparation: Develop, implement, and monitor budgets in collaboration with department heads, providing financial insights to optimize spending and increase profitability.
• Audit & Compliance: Coordinate with internal and external auditors to ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
• Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost reduction or revenue enhancement.
• Vendor & Client Management: Manage financial relationships with vendors and clients, ensuring timely payments and resolving any discrepancies.
• Process Improvement: Continuously review and improve financial processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A CPA or equivalent certification is preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, with at least 3 years in the event or media industry.
• Proficient in accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, SAP) and advanced Excel skills. Familiarity with ERP systems is a plus.
• Strong understanding of TDS, tax laws, journal entries, sales, purchases, and budget preparation specific to the event/media industry.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and time management skills. Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
