Responsibilities
Reporting to the Assistant Controller, the Senior Accountant will be responsible for the accounting, reporting and analysis functions as it relates to the organization
The expectation is to coordinate and perform the quarterly and annual close processes as well as the various accounting and administrative reporting requirements necessary
The Senior Accountant is a key contributor in the quarterly close, consolidation process, and the preparation of the Company’s internal and external financial statements, and on both a GAAP & STAT basis
Assist in preparing and reviewing journal entries, reconciliations, financial reports, and analysis
Participate in monthly accounting processes to ensure accuracy and completeness
Assist with the preparation of statutory & US GAAP financial statements including coordination of footnote disclosures with various departments
Maintain KPI's and financial reporting information
Assist with external & internal auditor requests

LHH is assisting a reputable organization in the Insurance industry searching for their next Senior Accountant. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics or equivalent experience
• Masters and/or CPA preferred
• GAAP knowledge required
• Statutory Accounting Principles preferred
• Continuous learning mindset to stay updated with industry trends and seek opportunities to enhance skills/knowledge
