DESCRIPTION
The role will be the key Finance Business Partner across Amazon Logistics (AMZL) Last Mile. Amazon's "Last Mile” delivery service is responsible for delivering packages (and smiles) to households/businesses across Australia. Our finance team closely partners to support this rapidly expanding business while building a portfolio of delivery stations, vehicles, and technology to deliver customers' packages on time - often next day, sometimes faster.
We augment our traditional "deliver by van" with other models including Amazon Flex (gig economy drivers) and more - all designed to deliver smiles to our customers.
Key job responsibilities
Partner with Last Mile business streams, Operations, Supply Chain and Customer Excellence teams to implement cost-saving initiatives and process improvements
Develop and publish regular financial reports highlighting key performance indicators and regular business metrics
Perform weekly/monthly controllership activities alongside variance analysis versus' plan and forecast
Ad hoc strategic analysis to drive program expansion, balancing delivery speed initiatives with cost efficiency
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
3+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
3+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience
3+ years of identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize or simplify finance or business tools and processes experience
Experience with advanced use of SQL for data mining and business intelligence
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
4+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
MBA, or CPA
Knowledge of Tableau
Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
