To be considered for the Senior Staff Accountant position, you must possess the following
A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
A minimum of 5 years of experience in an accounting role, preferably within the construction industry
Proficiency in financial reporting, reconciliations, month-end close, year-end close, and journal entries
Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail
Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously and meet deadlines

As a Senior Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for
Preparing accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
Conducting regular ledger maintenance
Overseeing the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring all financial reporting deadlines are met
Performing monthly balance sheet reconciliations
Managing journal entry postings
Assisting in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts
Identifying and resolving accounting discrepancies
Collaborating with external auditors during financial and operational audits
Implementing and maintaining internal financial controls and procedures
Providing guidance and support to junior accounting staff as needed

Responsibilities

As a Senior Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for
