Job description, work day and responsibilities
As the Social Media & Content Creation Specialist, you will be a key member of the Brand & Communications team with a primary focus to support the Ready Steady Quit (RSQ) team in helping to improve their mahi, services and to increase the branding experience for our RSQ clients.
You'll work closely with the RSQ team and Smokefree Practitioners, creating content from the mahi they do and utilising multiple avenues, including social media to support the communications and marketing functions of the business. Part of this role will also mean that you'll be travelling with the RSQ team to visit GP clinics, attend various events and drop-in sessions to capture content and share outcomes on social media and other business communication channels, such as email, website, newsletter, etc.
We are looking for a positive, self-starting individual, with great time management and the confidence to take ownership of their client groups. Naturally an exceptional level of both written and spoken English is essential.
Key Skills
Relevant tertiary qualification in communications, marketing, media or a related field is essential.
Minimum 2 to 3 years of work experience in digital communications and social media space, preferably in the health sector.
Ability to work flexibly across a variety of tasks/issues, office locations, adapting and changing where needed.
Flexibility to work on occasional weekends may be required for capturing content at events.
Tech savvy, with an understanding of digital platforms.
Design experience using Adobe Suite including Adobe Pro or similar is required
Website editing experience is preferable but not essential.
Proficiency in all aspects of the MS Office Suite
A passion for improving equitable health outcomes for the population of Tāmaki Makaurau and Aotearoa, New Zealand.
Strong understanding and appreciation of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and its application to shaping our efforts.
