Job Description
Hoco Hotels is seeking Front Desk Agents for The Windsor Hotel in Stratford, Ontario to work either AM (6:30 am - 3:00 pm), mid-shift (11: 30 am - 8:00 pm ), PM (2:30 pm - 11:00 pm), or overnight (11:00 pm - 7:30 am) shift. Only full-time positions are available.
Key Job Responsibilities:
Check-in guests in an efficient and friendly manner, using guest names whenever possible. Issue correct room codes to the guest.
Assure that the guest is assigned the type of room requested and the correct rate is charged.
Arrange for luggage to be delivered to the guest room.
Ensures all aspects of the room reservation process are followed, including bookings, confirmations, and cancellation policies.
Check out guests at the end of their stay. Ensure guest satisfaction, retrieve/share feedback, post late charges, and present folio to guests. Settle folio accurately through credit card transactions.
Handle all guest interactions with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism, accommodating special requests whenever possible.
Resolve customer complaints; assist customers in all inquiries in connection with hotel services, hours of operations, key hotel personnel, in-house events, directions, restaurant recommendations etc.
Respond to all guest requests in an accurate and timely manner. Interaction with guests will be in person, by email, text/chat, and by phone.
Accepts new reservations, changes and cancellations including payments.
Responsible for monitoring hotel front desk, lobby, and nook cleanliness and participating in maintaining high standards of cleanliness at all times.
Perform basic housekeeping duties as requested.
Troubleshoot minor maintenance and technology issues
Process end-of-day procedures and ensure PMS is up to date.
Work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors.
Perform other reasonable job duties as requested.
What We Look For
Only candidates with a flexible schedule will be interviewed. This position is not eligible for work sponsorship/visa. Candidates must possess valid Canada work authorization for a minimum of 12 months.
Must be able to work all shifts including, AM, PM, mid-shift, overnight, weekends, and holidays.
Continuous standing for the entire shift.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills i.e. in person, email, and by telephone. Must be fluent in English.
1-2 years previous Front Desk/Guest Service experience in a fast-paced, luxury/boutique hotel operation in North America is required. Previous experience using hotel PMS is mandatory.
Self-starter who is comfortable working independently with minimal supervision.

The starting rate of $18.50 per hour and the full rate of pay of $20.50 per hour not including incentives.
