Established in 2020, MUFG Global Service Private Limited (MGS) is 100% subsidiary of MUFG having offices in Bengaluru and Mumbai. MGS India has been set up as a Global Capability Centre / Centre of Excellence to provide support services across various functions such as IT, KYC/ AML, Credit, Operations etc. to MUFG Bank offices globally. MGS India has plans to significantly ramp-up its growth over the next 18-24 months while servicing MUFG’s global network across Americas, EMEA and Asia Pacific.

Job Profile

Position details:

MUFG – EMEA Operations is responsible for efficient and accurate processing, ranging from single-touch, single entry to multi-touch, complex transaction processing. Ensure all tasks and processes are completed in a controlled and effective manner. They are also responsible for completing and checking of processing, as required on a daily basis. Demonstrate high level of accuracy and understanding levels of the transactions. Assist TL / DH in overall activities of the team.

Roles and Responsibilities:
• Process transactions, initiated through electronic source or manual, with high degree of accuracy and timeliness, in accordance with the procedures.
• Identify, report and track exception cases and report to supervisor.
• Input all manual initiated transactions into database and track it till completion.
• Ensuring that tasks are completed, all checklists are adhered to, and any issues are escalated where appropriate.
• Participate in effective cross training for other members of staff.
• Conduct UAT and testing when called upon.
• Escalate in a timely manner. Attend meetings when required and provide feedback of discussions.
• Build relationships throughout MUFG to establish a peer network, gather relevant information and help to ensure effective inter-departmental collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:
• Demonstrate and achieve high level of accuracy in making transactions and co-ordinate with supervisors to ensure timely processing of Remittance transactions in accordance to set procedures.
• Maintain and publish the pending status of transactions to branches
• Gain knowledge on the regulatory, global and internal guidelines .
• Execute any additional activities assigned by DH as per requirements.
• Support launching of New Product arrangement by conducting UAT

Job Requirements:

Work experience (Essential):
• Banking experience (Between 1 to 3 years).

Work Experience (Non-Essential, but advantage):
• Experience of OVS
• Experience of Alert
• Experience of GPP
• Experience of SwiftRef

Skills and Experience:

Functional / Technical Competencies:

Essential:
• Working knowledge of Microsoft products to Intermediate level (Word, Excel etc).
• A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Strong decision making skills, with excellent communication (written and verbal skills).
• Recognise the need for change and the ability to generate new ideas.
• Knowledge of SWIFT and routing of messages, payment processing, FX/MM settlements & standard settlement instructions.
• Practical experience within an audit / balance confirmation environment.
• Practical experience of static maintenance of system information; such as currency holiday registrations, Standard Settlement instructions for products: Treasury, Remittances and Loans; rate registrations (related to FX and P&L valuations), and other static registrations.
