Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to lead our Human Resources and Industrial Relations function. The ideal candidate will be responsible for shaping and executing the HR & IR strategy, ensuring harmonious industrial relations, driving HR transformation, and supporting business growth by building a high-performance culture.
Key Responsibilities
Industrial Relations (IR)
- Maintain proactive and constructive relationships with trade unions and employee representatives.
- Lead collective bargaining, wage settlements, and union negotiations.
- Ensure legal compliance with all labor laws and statutory obligations.
- Handle industrial disputes, grievances, disciplinary actions, and represent the company in labor courts/tribunals.
- Design and implement proactive IR strategies to prevent disruptions and maintain workplace harmony.
- Liaise with government authorities, legal counsels, and other external stakeholders.
Human Resources (HR)
- Develop and implement strategic HR policies aligned with business objectives.
- Drive talent acquisition, retention, and capability-building programs.
- Lead performance management, leadership development, and succession planning.
- Foster a culture of diversity, inclusion, and employee engagement.
- Oversee HR operations including payroll, compliance, HRIS, and benefits administration.
- Provide strategic HR support to business units and advise leadership on organizational development.
Qualifications & Experience
- Postgraduate degree in HR / IR / Personnel Management / Labor Welfare from a reputed institute.
- 15+ years of experience in HR and IR roles, preferably in a unionized manufacturing/industrial setup.
- Proven track record in managing complex industrial relations and driving HR strategy.
- Strong understanding of Indian labor laws and compliance frameworks.
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and leadership skills.
