We specialize in individualized early intervention that leverages each child’s unique strengths, interests, and learning style. Pay Range: $85,000–$100,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications

Position Overview

The Assistant Clinical Director (ACD) plays a key leadership role in clinical operations at Partners in Play. Reporting to the Clinical Director, the ACD supports supervision of clinical staff, helps drive quality assurance, and plays a vital role in mentorship, training, and family communication. This role is ideal for a BCBA with strong interpersonal skills, a passion for mentorship, and a desire to grow in a collaborative, developmentally focused ABA setting.

Key Responsibilities

Foster a positive, collaborative team environment that encourages open communication, innovation, and continuous learning.
Provide clinical oversight and support to BCBAs, Program Managers, RBTs, and other direct service providers.
Oversee caseload quality, program fidelity, and family satisfaction in coordination with the Clinical Director.
Conduct comprehensive Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and develop individualized, data-driven Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs)
Facilitate parent and staff training sessions to promote best practices.
Maintain strong communication with Clinical Director, Human Resources and leadership team regarding staff performance, incidents, and parental concerns.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work and therapy environment.
Maintain client confidentiality based on HIPAA guidelines.
Assist with onboarding/training, supervising, and mentoring clinical team members
Support training plans and clinical development goals.
Conduct parent meetings and collaborate with families to address concerns, review progress, and ensure service alignment.
Review and audit session notes, treatment plans, and data collection systems for clinical accuracy and compliance.
Analyze clinical outcomes and contribute to program evaluation to improve service effectiveness.
Composes and submits timely assessment reports, progress reports, discharge reports, and treatment plans that meet each funding source’s requirements.
Help coordinate staff coverage, scheduling challenges, and time-off requests in collaboration with the clinical team and operations.
Review therapist utilization and propose scheduling adjustments to meet goals.
Participate in internal audits, quality assurance activities, and continuous improvement efforts.
Assist Human Resources by supporting performance reviews, disciplinary actions, and timecard approvals.
Develop and lead clinical trainings and workshops.
Assist in hiring process by conducting clinical interviews and recommending candidates.
Maintain documentation in accordance with BACB guidelines, insurance standards, and state regulations.
Utilize data-driven approaches and technology to inform clinical decision-making and program improvements.
Commit to ongoing professional development to stay current with advances in ABA and clinical best practices.
Qualifications

Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Special Education, or related field
Active BCBA certification in good standing with the BACB
Minimum of 3 years of experience providing and supervising ABA services
Demonstrated leadership or mentorship experience in a clinical setting
Strong skills in clinical documentation, programming, and family communication
Working knowledge of California ABA regulations, insurance standards, and ethical requirements
Excellent time management, interpersonal, and collaborative skills
Must have a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and current auto insurance to travel between client locations as needed
Comfortable traveling locally between our two clinics and client homes
Must pass DOJ/FBI background check, TB clearance, and CPR certification
Scheduling Details:

Our hours of operation are Monday - Friday 8:30am-6:30pm and Saturday 9:30am-4:00pm

Availability Required: 8:30am - 6:30pm Monday through Friday; some flexibility required
Occasional Saturdays or evenings for family meetings or special events
The role primarily requires on-site presence at the clinic and in the field.
Following successful completion of the initial 90-day probationary period, the employee will be eligible to work remotely one administrative day per week.
Consistent on-site attendance is mandatory to ensure effective collaboration, supervision, and client support.
This is a full-time, exempt position.
Physical Requirements

Ability to occasionally lift, carry, or move objects weighing up to 25 pounds (e.g., toys, therapy materials
Ability to sit, stand, walk, and move around for extended periods during therapy sessions
Willingness to work in environments with moderate to loud noise levels.
Ability to safely assist clients with physical prompts or guidance in accordance with individualized treatment plans and clinical supervision.
