About Cyanergy
The Cyanergy Group (including Cyanergy Ptd Ltd, Solar Emporium Ptd Ltd and Smart Lifestyle Australia Ptd Ltd) is looking for a Business Development Manager to successfully identify both new and existing business opportunities across multiple energy efficiency and renewable energy products and sectors.
Cyanergy is an Australian owned and operated business with over 12+ years experience in the renewable and energy efficiency space, with office locations in Victoria and New South Wales. We have built a unique solution and service offering from the ground up.
About the Role:
As the Business Development Manager, you'll be responsible to successfully identify both new and existing business opportunities across the solar, heat pump, air conditioning, PV battery and storage sectors with an overall aim to drive sales to grow the commercial business budgets across Cyanergy.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Wholesale account management for products and environmental credits for Victorian Energy Efficiency Certificates (VEECs), Energy Savings Certificates (ESCs), Peak Reduction Certificate and Small Technology Certificates (STCs) and other certificates as required.
2. Manage the State and Federal Government energy efficiency and renewable energy schemes for the following programs: Victorian Energy Upgrade (VEU) Scheme, the Energy Savings Scheme (ESS) in NSW and the Federal Government Renewable Energy Target (RET) Scheme.
3. Grow the commercial solar, heat pump, air conditioning, PV battery and storage sectors sales in-line with budgets and by compiling lists of prospective client businesses using directories and other sources.
4. Manage incoming enquiries for solar, heat pump, air conditioning, PV battery and storage sectors by assessing customers' needs and recommending and explaining products to them and taking appropriate action.
5. Acquiring and updating knowledge of competitors' products and market conditions. Monitor customers' changing needs and competitor activity, and reporting these developments to Managing Director & sales management. Contribute to strategic business decisions based on technical sales knowledge.
6. Develop and grow relationships with all customers to drive overall referral growth and new business opportunities by visiting regular and prospective client businesses to establish and act on selling opportunities.
7. Be proactive in recognising new business opportunities and actioning them accordingly including daily cold calling potential new customers and proactive lead generation.
8. Provide detailed analysis / follow ups and document information and leads from sales department into the CRM.
+. Effective and efficient management of customer retention throughout the sales process. This includes quoting and negotiating prices and credit terms, completing contract agreements, taking deposits and proactively assisting the customer through the finance and rebate approvals to complete the sale.
10. Ensure all customer forms and records are accurately maintained. These include but are not limited to customer documentation, customer proposal, customer agreement, finance approvals, and rebate documentation.
11. Effective and efficient account management of customers through to installation and following up with customers to ensure satisfaction with products purchased and resolving any issues.
12. Preparing regular sales reports for management.
13. Represent Cyanergy in a positive and professional manner, recognising the key role you have as primary contact between the customer and Cyanergy.
14. Attend trade shows and related events as and when required (including weekends).
15. Ensure compliance is met with the NETCC (new energy tech consumer code) requirements. Update customer accounts with all relevant notes from all customer liaisons from both internal and external staff.
16. Other ad hoc duties as required.
What you'll need to succeed:
Minimum 5 years industry experience, scheme and product knowledge.
An undergraduate degree in a relevant field (Business / Engineering / Commerce).
Must have proven experience using systems including Dataforce, Zoho CRM, Open Solar and Pvsyst.
Provide a high level of customer service and expertise to all customers via a prompt response and resolution of customers objections and issues.
Show initiative to constantly improve personal knowledge of all product lines.
Work in a team environment with a goal to achieve budget and deliver results.
Maintain safety, tidiness, and housekeeping throughout office, vehicle and other workspaces.
Maintain professional etiquette at all times with internal and external stakeholders.
Travel to metro and regional areas for reasons including training, cold calls, retention, and internal and external meetings.
Other tasks as required from time-to-time.
