Bluseal are an insulated and industrial door company based in Worcester.
We are looking to expand our very busy Contracts department to meet with current construction industry demands. We are keen to seek out a Commercial/Design Manager with a positive approach and excellent customer service skills to be part of our team and look after our current door installation projects and key accounts throughout the UK.
Roles & responsibilities:
Ø To work closely with our Estimating team to identify new projects and assist with any element of design, tendering or negotiation.
Ø On award of new projects, to ensure that all elements of design are acceptable and that our product range is correctly matched to the client’s requirements and/or design specification.
Ø To attend client design meetings either on site or remotely to suit the client’s preference and provide technical advice and support to the site project team.
Ø To report back to the Estimating/Contracts team with any specification amendments and advise on cost implications.
Ø To ensure that the project is successfully handed over to the Bluseal Contract Manager with the client in full agreement of our responsibilities and with the financial package agreed.
Ø To place orders and liaise with our supply chain and ensure that each project requirement is understood and delivered on time.
Ø Ensure interim applications for payment and certifications are issued and agreed.
Ø To ensure that all project financial information is kept up-to-date on our internal Document Management System
The successful candidate will have:
Ø A good understanding of commercial contracts and legal documentation associated with construction project work.
Ø The ability to take the lead on collating costs and maximising value on a large project or portfolio of projects
Ø In-depth knowledge and experience of procuring and managing supply chain
Ø A history of working to deadlines including effective delegation, working efficiently and to a high standard
Ø Proven skills in commercial awareness, client liaison, project management and team leadership. The successful candidate will also have an extensive understanding of the construction industry, flexibility and a talent for negotiation.

• Hours: Monday to Friday - 8am to 5pm but flexible to suit the requirements of the job and nationwide travel.

Experience:
• Commercial Management: 2 years (preferred)
• Design Management: 2 years (preferred)
• Knowledge of industrial/hinged doors (preferred but not essential)
