About the role
Join us as a Core Research Facilities Coordinator (Finance and Admin) at the University of Bath!
Are you ready to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of research infrastructure at one of the UK’s leading universities? The University of Bath is excited to announce a brand-new opportunity for a Coordinator in our centralised Core Research Facility (CRF) unit. This is your chance to be part of something transformative and to enable world-changing research.
As CRF Coordinator, you’ll be at the heart of a dynamic and ambitious team, working closely with the Head of Core Research Facility Operations, the Director of Research Infrastructure & Facilities (RIF), Faculty Finance teams and colleagues across the University. You will help deliver a sustainable research infrastructure that accelerates the University’s research strategy.
You’ll take the lead on a wide range of exciting and essential activities, including:
Operations & Finance – Oversee facility booking systems and support financial processes.
Client Engagement – Be the friendly, professional point of contact for our external partners.
Unit Support – Assist with HR, Health & Safety, Campus Infrastructure, and committee coordination.
Strategic Projects – Collaborate on initiatives that shape the future of CRF operations.
Marketing & Communications support – work with internal marketing teams to build awareness of CRF offerings at the university and externally
About the role:
Part-time, open-ended position
Hybrid working – minimum of 2 days per week on campus (typically more in the early weeks for training)

Financial management and budget monitoring know-how

Strong IT capabilities, including admin and financial systems

A positive, can-do attitude and calm approach under pressure
Most importantly, you’ll be someone who’s excited to make a difference and help carve out and evolve their role within the Core Research Facilities at the University of Bath.
