HR Administrator - Stockton on Tees
£13 an hour
6 months contract

Role Overview
Working within a Learning & Development (L&D) Administration team in an HR Shared Service Centre, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery and coordination of learning and development activities across the organisation. This includes managing external training bookings, responding to first-line queries, maintaining documentation and user guides, and promoting learning initiatives.
The role of HR Administrator:
Act as the first point of contact for L&D-related queries, resolving or escalating as appropriate.
Answer incoming queries efficiently.
Maintain and update a range of record systems or databases to ensure records are accurate, complete, and current.
Manage the full process of booking external training courses, including liaising with suppliers, confirming attendance, and ensuring accurate records.
Handle associated payment processes, including raising purchase orders and tracking invoices through Ariba whilst ensuring compliance with procurement and finance policies.
Develop and maintain curated playlists of learning content within the LMS.
Manage learning workflows and reporting.
Communications & Engagement:
Draft and distribute promotional communications to raise awareness of learning opportunities.
Collaborate with internal communications teams to align messaging and branding.
Contribute to continuous improvement of service delivery within the People Hub through administration of reporting, scheduling, learner support, and enrolment coordination. Proactively make recommendations for service improvements and identify new ways of working.
The ideal HR Administrator:
Excellent IT skills and an interest in using technology to improve work efficiency.
Previous experience within an HR team with a strong interest in L&D and employee development.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital collaboration tools.
A resilient approach and the ability to work unsupervised in a fast-paced environment is key.
Ability to independently plan and manage own workloads.
The ability to make decisions and deliver work in a timely manner including to SLAs.
Excellent customer service.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
High level of accuracy, numeracy, attention to detail, and organisational skills.
Desirable Skills
System Administration experience, preferably in an HR context, including; providing first-line support for queries, managing more complex queries with third parties or internal IT department, in accordance with agreed support SLAs, maintenance of background tables, user/security management and governance.
Experience of working in Learning and Development with Cornerstone.
