Grade 10- £57,663 to £61,+80 per annum subject to final confirmation
The London Borough of Havering, within its Havering Education Services (HES) commercial area, is looking to recruit an Education Computing, MIS & Data Support Manager to lead and develop the managed IT, MIS and Data support services to schools and settings. This critical role will lead and manage teams of experienced technical professionals and managers, and identify, instigate, develop and manage opportunities for growth whilst implementing customer driven changes in the commercial approach and operational processes and systems.
As a key member of the HES senior leadership team, the Education Computing, MIS & Data Support Manager will also develop and nurture excellent relationships with peers and key internal and external stakeholder groups.
The successful candidate must possess strong commercial acumen, have a thorough knowledge of MIS and school ICT software solutions and products, and be fully conversant with all software developments relating to school’s operations.
If successful in your application for this role, you will:
Act as overall account lead for schools, looking for innovative solutions to implement to modernise the service.
Lead on the development and delivery of Service Level Agreements, ensuring that appropriate performance indicators are set for the services, and that systems are in place to support the recording, collection, analysis and reporting of performance data.
Develop and promote the optimal use of the full range of service capabilities and provisions to existing customers whilst also looking for external opportunities for further income generation
Act as ‘contract owner’ for all relevant third party contracts underpinning the provision of the services, ensuring these are delivering as expected and renewed in a timely manner in accordance with Council policies and procedures.
Act as the main point of contact between users, external to the Council; including public sector organisations from outside of Havering and other private sector and voluntary organisations, who commission work through the services of the contract between the external provider and the Council
