About The Position
Located in St. Petersburg, Fla., the Events Coordinator position at Power Design is a perfect fit for someone who is creative, enthusiastic, detail oriented, customer focused and able to thrive in a fast- paced environment. The Events Coordinator works in our Human Resources department, the SOURCE, helping with engagement initiatives throughout the company.
Position Details/Responsibilities
• Assist with planning and execution of meetings, events, and trainings ranging from 25 to 1,500 employees across the country
• Contribute to event development that includes but is not limited to F&B, décor, and activations for the project
• Coordinate rooming lists, event invites, RSVP’s and logistics
• Hotel and venue sourcing and contract review and negotiation
• Coordinate event print materials including name badges, collateral, banners, signage etc
• Coordinate event SWAG sourcing, fulfillment, and distribution
• Collaborate internally to review scheduled events and proactively address challenges/conflicts
• Develop working relationships with outside vendors to establish pricing and discounted service agreements
• Day of event coordination and execution
• Put together and pull event feedback surveys
• When needed, assist with employee programs & Community initiatives
• Be an ambassador of the Source and Power Design
Here’s What We’re Looking For
• Bachelor’s degree in human resource, business, hospitality, advertising or related field preferred
• Must have 2-4 years experience coordinating large corporate events.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to interface with all levels of staff and management.
• Possess excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Team player who works effectively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple projects with changing priorities.
• Experience with event planning is preferred
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
