An exciting role is now available for a Business Partner to join the team on a 6-month contract basis. Reporting into our CFO and Supply Chain Director, this role will be responsible for managing financial aspects of our North American Operations including debtor collections, ledger maintenance and cost centre reporting. This role is for a period of 6 months with flexible working arrangements.
What you'll do:
Manage the general ledger for USA legal entity reporting on profit & loss and Balance sheet including GL reconciliations and bank reconciliations
Manage the debtors ledger, liaising with customers regarding collection of funds and other account queries, allocate payments accurately in accordance with remittance advices
Process credit notes in accordance with set guidelines
Analyse monthly cost centre reports to provide insights on trading from commerciality perspective
Prepare and present monthly profit & loss and balance sheet to the stakeholders analysing and explaining critical business matters
Manage all indirect taxes in North American Operations- registration, computation, finalisation and lodgement of indirect tax return
Manage the Avalara database by keeping it up to date, to ensure the company meets its sales tax obligations
Assist the finance manager by co-ordinating with Tax & Accounting Service provider in the North American to lodge the annual federal tax return
Liaise with corporate advisors to ensure that all state-based lodgements of required returns are met in a timely manner
Who you are:
Tertiary qualified with approximately 3-5 years’ experience in Business Partnering with financial acumen
The role requires experience in financial analysis and reporting
Exposure in business reporting tools with a proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and executives, strong articulation skills and commercial acumen
Strong excel skills, particularly financial modelling, as well as experience with data analytics and visualisation tools
Working hours will be 7am – 3pm to effectively liaise with North American operations with work from home flexibility
Professional maturity and ability to work effectively across levels, functions, regions, and backgrounds
