Head of Software Engineering Hertfordshire £140k - £150k + Package A Market leading SAAS client based in Hertfordshire is looking to hire a head of software engineering, this role reports to the CEO, this is a technically focussed role where you will be managing onsite and offshore teams across Asia, but also working on large client programs across the UK, Europe, and the US. You will be managing teams across the UK and Asia, this will consist of software engineers, tech leads, and project delivery managers. Clients include - Harrods, Dunelm, Specsavers, New Look, Harvey Nichols, and Macey's (New York) Working closely with the CTO, CEO, and 3rd party vendors across sectors within retail and e-commerce. The ideal candidate will have experience in retail, e-commerce, or online/ digital Responsibilities will include: Being 50|50 hands-on and hands-off: working closely with the 50-person strong development team with plans to grow over the next 12 months Advising on product, product architecture, and best practice Working within an agile methodology to ensure work is completed to spec and on time Develop a roadmap, strategy, and software delivery programmes, working closely with the CTO Liaising with the C-Suite team to display product roadmap and consult intra-business The business provides solutions across EPOS, Omin Chanel, API's and Microservices.
