Job Summary: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented HR Assistant to join our team. As an HR Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our human resources department by performing various administrative tasks and ensuring the smooth functioning of HR operations. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience in HR while contributing to the overall success of our organization.
Responsibilities:
Administrative Support: Provide general administrative support to the HR department, including managing phone calls, emails, and correspondence, scheduling meetings, maintaining files and records, and preparing documents.
Employee Onboarding: Assist with the onboarding process of new employees, including preparing and organizing new hire paperwork, conducting orientation sessions, and facilitating the completion of required forms and documentation.
Recruitment Support: Collaborate with the HR team in recruitment efforts by assisting with job postings, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, conducting background checks, and maintaining applicant tracking systems.
Employee Data Management: Ensure accurate and up-to-date employee records by inputting and maintaining employee data in HRIS (Human Resources Information System), tracking attendance, leaves, and other relevant information.
Benefits Administration: Support benefits administration processes, including assisting employees with benefits inquiries, coordinating enrollment and changes, and maintaining accurate records of employee benefits.
Employee Relations: Assist in maintaining positive employee relations by responding to employee inquiries, providing information on HR policies and procedures, and assisting in resolving employee concerns or conflicts.
HR Projects: Participate in HR projects and initiatives such as policy development, employee engagement programs, performance management, and employee recognition activities.
Compliance: Assist in ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations by staying updated on relevant legislation, assisting in the preparation of reports, and assisting in audits or investigations as required.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
Previous experience in an HR administrative role or similar position is preferred.
Knowledge of HR principles, practices, and regulations.
Familiarity with HRIS systems and proficiency in MS Office Suite.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Proactive attitude and willingness to learn and grow in the HR field.
