About DHOOM:

DHOOM is a premium restaurant and craft brewery committed to delivering exceptional culinary experiences and fostering a passionate, skilled team. As we grow, we are looking for a dynamic HR Recruiter & Trainer who can attract top talent and help onboard and upskill staff to deliver excellence.

Key Responsibilities: Recruitment (60%)

Identify hiring needs across departments (front of house, kitchen, bar, brewery, operations)
Create job postings, screen resumes, and conduct interviews
Coordinate with department heads to understand talent requirements
Schedule and manage onboarding of new hires
Maintain recruitment databases and reports
Training & Development (40%)

Design and deliver structured training programs (orientation, job-specific, service excellence, safety & compliance)
Conduct ongoing skill development workshops
Collaborate with management to assess training needs and performance gaps
Monitor, evaluate, and report training effectiveness
Develop SOPs and maintain training manuals (including visuals, videos, recipes if relevant)
Required Qualifications:

4+ years in HR or recruitment, preferably in hospitality or retail
Experience in employee training and development
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Organized, proactive, and detail-oriented
Familiarity with labor laws and HR best practices in Ontario
Ability to work on-site and align with restaurant hours when needed
Nice to Have:

Hospitality industry experience (especially restaurants or breweries)
Familiarity with scheduling software (e.g., 7shifts, Hubstaff, Toast)
HR certification (CHRP or similar)
Compensation:

Competitive salary based on experience
Staff meals, training budget, and career growth opportunities
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:

Monday to Friday
Weekends as needed
Work Location: Hybrid remote in Toronto, ON M4K 1P1
