Job Title: Manager – HR (Operations)
The Manager – HR (Operations) at FLAME University, Pune will oversee key HR operational functions including payroll, statutory compliance, employee documentation, expat employee handling, HR audits, and process efficiency. This role also provides support to Talent Acquisition and oversees employee data systems.
Main Responsibilities:
• Payroll Management
Accurate and timely payroll processing is overseen by the Manager, including reimbursements, deductions, and full & final settlements in line with policy and legal norms.
• Statutory Compliance & Government Regulations
Strict adherence to all statutory requirements, including Provident Fund (PF), Employees' State Insurance Corporation (ESIC), Gratuity, Professional Tax, and other applicable labor laws is ensured.
• Expat Management
Onboarding, visa processing, FRRO formalities, and ongoing HR support for expatriate employees are handled in compliance with immigration and university regulations.
• HR Documentation
Internal HR communications, including transfer letters, visa letters, experience letters, and minutes of important meetings are drafted and issued with high accuracy.
• Employee Data Management
Employee records in HR systems (HRIS) are maintained up-to-date and accurate, ensuring confidentiality and readiness for audits or reports.
• Talent Acquisition Support
Secondary support is provided for recruitment coordination, candidate documentation, TAT monitoring, and onboarding logistics.
• HR Technology & Tools
Platforms such as Salesforce, SAP, and TAT tracking software are utilized to streamline HR workflows and ensure accountability.
• Audit & Reporting
Necessary documentation and data are provided for internal and external HR audits, ensuring ongoing compliance.
• Process Efficiency & Compliance
Operational workflows are continuously reviewed for improvement opportunities, ensuring alignment with both legal and institutional policies.
Qualifications & Skills:
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; MBA/PGDM preferred.
• 7–10 years of experience in HR operations, payroll, and compliance.
• Experience in the higher education or university sector is highly desirable.
• Deep understanding of statutory requirements including PF, ESIC, Gratuity, and labor laws.
• Familiarity with handling expatriate employees and visa documentation.
• Proficient in HR software including Salesforce, SAP, and other workflow tracking systems.
• Excellent documentation, drafting, and analytical skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational ability.
• Proficient in MS Excel, Word, and HRIS platforms.
