We are seeking a seasoned and dynamic leader to spearhead our regional HR function in India and the Asia-Pacific-Africa region. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for driving strategic HR initiatives that align with business goals, ensuring compliance with regional labor laws, and fostering a high-performance culture across our diverse organization.
This role requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a deep understanding of Indian employment law and cultural nuances. If you have a proven track record of success in multi-state manufacturing environments and experience managing HR in India and multiple APA countries, we encourage you to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
• Strategic HR Leadership: Develop and execute regional HR strategies aligned with business priorities and global HR policies.
• Partner with Senior Leadership: Support senior leaders in India and APA on HR matters and drive organizational development and change initiatives.
• Workforce Planning: Lead workforce planning, labour cost control, talent management, and medium-term succession planning for the region.
Talent Acquisition & Development:
• Talent Acquisition: Oversee regional recruitment efforts, ensuring best practices in assessing competence, potential, and cultural fit.
• Talent Development: Implement talent development programs, including leadership development and performance management projects.
• Employee Engagement: Drive employee engagement and retention initiatives.
Compensation & Benefits:
• Compensation Structure: Ensure competitive and equitable compensation structures across the region.
• Benefits Administration: Support Union negotiations and advise on merit and promotions salary reviews using a structured methodology.
• Total Rewards Strategy: Collaborate with global compensation teams to localize total rewards strategies.
Employee Relations & Compliance:
• Labor Law Compliance: Ensure compliance with all applicable labor laws and regulations across countries in APA.
• HR Risk Management: Lead HR risk management and employee relations issues, ensuring a positive work environment.
• HR Policy Implementation: Oversee implementation of HR policies and processes that are consistent, transparent, and legally compliant.
Qualifications:
• Master's Degree: A Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
• Leadership Experience: 10+ years of progressive HR experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership role with regional responsibilities.
• Cultural Nuances: A deep understanding of Indian employment law, labor market trends, and cultural nuances.
• Global Organization: Proven ability to lead in a fast-paced global organization.
• Communication Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Team Management: A team-based, hands-on management style, able to develop close working relationships across the business.
PREFERRED SKILLS:
• HR Digital Transformation: Experience with HR digital transformation and modern HR technologies.
• Compensation Grading: C&B grading and salary benchmarking.
• Talent Assessments: Recruitment and talent assessments.
• Labour Cost Analysis: HR labour cost analysis.
Language Proficiency: English, Hindi (Gujurati also a plus).
Salary Range: ₹4,+00,000 - ₹5,400,000 per annum.
