We’re a mission-driven pet care startup building a vibrant, cat-loving community—online and in real life. From storytelling and social media to local partnerships and grassroots outreach, we’re creating a space where creativity meets care.
We’re looking for a curious, creative, and community-minded individual to help us grow our digital presence and deepen our impact. This is a great opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career professional looking to build hands-on experience with a fast-moving startup.
What You’ll Do
You’ll work closely with our Go-to-Market Manager to bring our brand to life across social platforms and community spaces.
We’re looking for someone who’s not just creative, but strategic—someone who understands how to make content that’s fun, engaging, and community-driven while also driving real business outcomes. You should be comfortable thinking about conversion, referrals, and sign-ups as part of your content strategy, and know how to guide people from “just browsing” to “I need to be part of this.”
Your Weekly Cat Duties:
Concept, reate and schedule content across Instagram, TikTok, Reddit, and more
Engage with our community (comments, DMs, Reddit threads, Quora answers)
Track and report on content performance (reach, engagement, follower growth)
Collaborate on influencer outreach and local partnerships (shelters, cafés, etc.)
Support email list growth and referral campaigns
Help promote original cat comics and storytelling assets
Participate in grassroots marketing (flyers, local events, etc.)
Use AI tools (like Copilot) to brainstorm and draft content ideas
Who You Are
Ideal Backgrounds:
Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or related field
Recent college graduate or early-career professional looking to grow with a startup
Must-Haves:
1–3 years of experience in marketing, social media, or content creation
Strong communication skills—you can talk through metrics and results
Passion for content and storytelling—especially cat-related!
Interest in community development and social impact work
Familiar with tools like Canva, Instagram, TikTok, and Reddit
NYC-based or familiar with the local scene (Astoria a plus)
Bonus Traits:
You’ve worked with influencers or built community partnerships
You’ve helped something go viral—or want to try
You love a good cat pun and know how to use it
Job Types: Part-time, Contract
Pay: $1,200.00 - $1,700.00 per month
Expected hours: 10 – 20 per week
