The Role

DT Global is currently seeking to fill a Project Support Officer (PSO) role that will contribute to DT Global’s success by providing operational and administrative support for project management activities within the International Development team. The successful candidate will be based in Canberra, Australia. Our Canberra presence is growing. We currently have approximately 12 staff working from our Canberra office, including the Asia Pacific Managing Director, Head of Program Quality and Gender and the Pacific Regional Manager. From this office, we manage DFAT contracts including the Climate Resilient Communities Support Unit and the Australia Pacific Partnerships Platform.

Primary Responsibilities will include:

Works closely with project teams to provide administrative, operational and logistical support including contracting, procurement, financial management and travel arrangements;
Support compliance with key operational and contractual requirements and policies;
Provides high level word processing and administrative support to program teams and projects;
Organise and support recruitment processes for project staff. Draft contracts and facilitate approvals;
Coordinates the mobilisation and overseas relocation of long-term advisers for project assignments. This includes the organisation of flights, visas, pre-departure briefings, arranging temporary and permanent accommodation, facilitating completion of DT Global policies and HR requirements prior to travel and registering travel insurance;
All other duties as required.

The successful candidate will present with a high level of interpersonal skills and excellent organisational and time management skills. S/he must be willing to take on a variety of tasks that may be required to ensure efficient operation of the business units and has the ability to interpret and apply policies, requirements and procedures and use of corporate systems.

Essential Experience and Knowledge

Tertiary qualifications in any relevant field with a minimum of 2 to 3 years' experience;
Desirable

Strong written and verbal English communication skills;
Strong attention to detail;
Strong work ethic and a willingness to quickly learn and apply new concepts;
Strong interpersonal and communication skills and a demonstrated ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a cross-cultural context.
