Inova Woodburn Surgery Center (WSC) is currently hiring an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse to join the team! The surgery center staff do not work nights, weekends or holidays. Hours of operation are M-F, 0700-1730.
Work Schedule: Full-Time: 8 or 10hr shifts, Monday – Friday (7am – 5:30pm) with no nights, weekends or holidays.
Eligible Nurses will qualify for Sign-on & Relocation bonuses.
The WSC is a state of the art, 4 Operating Room and 1 Procedure Room Outpatient Surgery Center that serves the musculoskeletal community and includes Sports Medicine, Hand, and Total Joint patient population. OR Registered Nurse Responsibilities:
Performs comprehensive patient health assessments by interpreting multiple, sometimes conflicting, data sets and synthesizing their interrelationships.
Formulates individualized plans of care based upon assessment findings and interpreting trends in patient populations to achieve best practice.
Supports and empowers patients and families as they progress through the healthcare continuum from health promotion to end of life decisions.
Advocates for patients' rights from the patient/family perspective and provides counsel and acts as a resource to resolve issues.
Anticipates ethical, spiritual, and cultural needs of patients/families and assists staff in assessing patients' learning needs.
OR Registered Nurse Requirements:
Experience: Requires a minimum of 1 year of direct Operating Room (OR) experience as a Registered Nurse
Education: BSN or ADN from an accredited school of nursing. If RN has an Associate’s Degree (ADN); must complete BSN within 5 years of start date
License: Must be licensed in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Registered Nurse
Certification: Basic Life Support with American Heart Association
