Job Summary
The Restaurant Operations Manager is responsible for the daily supervision of restaurant operations, including assisting in menu planning, maintaining sanitation standards, and supervising servers and hosts on the floor during peak meal periods.
Key Responsibilities
• Assist in the management of the restaurant team, handling employee questions and concerns, monitoring performance expectations, and providing feedback to employees.
• Conduct day-to-day restaurant operations, ensuring all employees have proper supplies, equipment, and uniforms, and communicating with the Chef and Restaurant Manager regarding food quality and service levels.
• Provide exceptional customer service, interacting with guests to obtain feedback on product quality and service levels, and supervising staffing levels to ensure guest service, operational needs, and financial objectives are met.
• Supervise on-going training initiatives, use all available on-the-job training tools for employees, communicate performance expectations in accordance with job descriptions for each position, and coach and counsel employees regarding performance on an on-going basis.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, 4 years of experience in the food and beverage, culinary, or related professional area, or a 2-year degree from an accredited university in Food Service Management, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major, and 2 years of experience in the food and beverage, culinary, or related professional area.
