Manager, Risk Business Partnering (Business support Functions and NZ Technology)

At Suncorp New Zealand, we are all about bright futures – and yours could be next! We are not the lookout for a dynamic Risk Business Partner to join our recently expanded Risk & Compliance team. This is your chance to take the lead in a pivotal role, guiding a team of talented First Line Risk advisors and making your mark on a thriving, forward-focused organisation.

In this influential role, you will partner with our Line 1 Business Support and NZ Technology functions to bring Suncorp New Zealand’s Enterprise Risk Management Framework to life. You will be the go-to expert, offering strategic and technical advice, coaching senior leaders, and embedding a culture of proactive, intelligent risk management across the business.

We are looking for someone who brings:

Relevant tertiary qualification in Commerce, Business, Law or Finance
10+ years in legal, risk or compliance management in the financial services sector
5+ years insurance experience desired
Proven leadership – directly or through influence
Broad commercial experience at senior levels
Deep knowledge of insurance risk management practices
Passion for delivering great customer experiences and business outcomes
Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable insights
Strong negotiation and influencing skills
