Job description, work day and responsibilities
We are seeking a highly skilled SAP MDG Techno-Functional Consultant to support our Master Data Governance initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in both technical and functional aspects of SAP MDG, with hands-on experience in data modeling, process automation, and workflow configuration.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and support SAP MDG implementations for Customer, Supplier, Finance, and Material Master Data.
• Design and configure Data Models, Process Models, and UI Models (FPM, WebDynpro, Fiori).
• Develop and maintain Business Rules and Validations using BRF+, Derivations, and MDG API Framework.
• Utilize SAP MDG APIs:
• Change Request API
• External Model API
• Governance API
• Convenience API
• Configure and manage Data Replication Framework (DRF) and IDoc/ALE integrations.
• Implement data harmonization, de-duplication, and mass data changes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data governance, compliance, and process optimization.
• Stay current with emerging trends in MDM, including AI-driven innovations.
Technical Expertise:
• Strong knowledge of SAP MDG Technical Framework:
• BADI, BAPI, RFC, Function Modules
• Workflows, BRF+, Enterprise Services
• Proficient in SAP Workflow Management:
• Graphical Workflow Builder
• Event Management (Status, Change Docs, BTEs)
• Extended Notifications and Workflow Debugging
• Experience with SAP Security related to workflow and data governance.
Preferred Skills:
• Basic understanding of SAP SD and MM module integration.
• Experience in workflow administration in large-scale production environments.
• Familiarity with generative AI applications in MDM is a plus.
