End User Engineering Specialist

The Systems Specialist (End User Engineering) is responsible for leading the technical implementation and operations of CI Financials End-User Technologies, including O365, MFA, Azure AD, End Point Technology and SSO technologies. This role will lead both innovation and continuous improvement as it relates to end-user technology services and technology. The End User Services Engineer will actively be engaged in process definition, developing best practices, growing service capacity, and improving quality while adhering to all company policies and procedures.

What You Will Do
Lead large, complex projects with business and technology teams to deliver solutions aligned to changing business needs and strategies while considering existing End User experience requirements.
Manage and optimize the Microsoft 365 environment as it relates to architecture and security.
Accountable and responsible to lead technical discussions and provide recommendations on areas of service improvement and feasibility of technical solutions to ensure business requirements are aligned to solution scope and vision.
Develop and maintain technology roadmaps to ensure solutions remain leading edge in terms of functionality, security, performance and availability.
Maintain and optimize On-Premises and Azure Active Directory environments including Group Policies.
Provide day-to-day engineering support for multiple messaging and collaboration technologies such as Active Directory, Exchange Online, Microsoft Teams, Voice, SharePoint Online and other Office 365 workloads.
Develop and improve procedures for managing the user endpoint environment. Define company standards to ensure consistent quality and reliability of services.
Administers systems by actively managing patching, routine maintenance and backups to include the scheduling and execution of related tasks.
Lead Development and manage AV and Collaboration Room Technology.
Liaison with appropriate third-party vendors as it relates to end-user computing technology.
Monitor supporting systems to ensure maximum uptime and availability.
Participate in the Major Incident Management process as the SME for End-User Engineering.
Provide after-hours support based on the scheduled rotation.

What You Will Bring

Education/Training
Post-secondary education in computers or related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
Advanced Microsoft Certifications focused on Microsoft 365 and Mobility and Security are preferred or equivalent experience.

Experience
Minimum 7 years of experience supporting and administrating a Microsoft Environment
5+ years of experience with configuring and supporting an Office 365 tenant including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, etc.
5+ years experience with Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (SCCM), Microsoft Intune, Windows and Mac platforms, Jamf, Group Policy Administration, and virtual desktops.
2-3 Advanced AV and Collaboration Technologies.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Self-motivated, with a proven ability to motivate and inspire others.
Proven ability to plan realistic process and solution designs requirements appropriate to identified risk scenarios.
Must be a creative and strategic thinker, working comfortably in a highly collaborative environment and be effective in a constantly evolving environment.
Must be naturally and innately curious, a lifelong learner, have a thirst for knowledge, and can remain calm and composed in times of uncertainty and stress, inspiring the same in others.
Extensive experience supporting various Office 365 workloads such as Exchange Online, MS Teams, Enterprise Voice, SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business, etc.
Knowledge of identity management using Azure AD connect, ADFS and SSO technologies like SAML. Experience with Okta an asset.
Strong knowledge of Azure Active Directory, Azure Information Protection, Information Rights Management, single sign-on and multi-factor authentication and related technologies.
Expertise with Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (formerly Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager). Knowledge of Microsoft Intune/Autopilot or any other major mobile device/application solutions a plus.
Excellent knowledge/experience with desktop operating systems (Windows, MacOS)
Technical and practical knowledge of PowerShell scripting for administration, automation of processes, and issue resolution
Understanding of security technologies
Ability to drive Continuous Service Improvement
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to work with end-users to drive change
Ability to work independently and with a team
Strong written and verbal communication/presentation skills
