Job Title: General Manager
Location: Auckland, New Zealand
Employment Type: Full-Time/permanent
Hours of work: Minimum 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Salary: $30 – $45 per hour (Based on education and experience)

With a strong commitment to quality service and customer satisfaction, we are now expanding our operations by launching a rent-a-car business in Auckland Our goal is to provide reliable, affordable, and high-quality vehicle rental services to individuals and businesses. To ensure the smooth operation and success of this new venture, we are seeking a General Manager to lead the business and drive growth.
Job Description:
The General Manager will be responsible for managing the overall operations of the rent-a-car business, ensuring high customer satisfaction, and implementing strategies for growth. This role requires a proactive and business-minded individual who can lead a team, manage resources efficiently, and drive profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee daily operations, including vehicle rentals, customer service, and fleet management.
Develop and implement business strategies to increase revenue and market presence.
Recruit, train, and supervise staff, ensuring high performance and professionalism.
Maintain strong customer relationships and handle inquiries, complaints, and feedback effectively.
Monitor financial performance, control operational costs, and prepare business reports.
Ensure compliance with legal regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
Coordinate with suppliers, partners, and key stakeholders to optimize operations.
Develop marketing and promotional strategies to attract and retain customers.
Manage vehicle procurement, maintenance, and inventory control.
Identify new business opportunities and expansion strategies.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Masters inBusiness Administration OR a minimum of 2 years of experience in business management.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
Ability to develop and implement business growth strategies.
experience in financial and operational management.
ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Knowledge of car rental industry, fleet management and vehicle maintenance is an advantage.
proficiency in Microsoft Office and business management software.
Valid driver's license.
