Our client, Amethyst Partners, is a dynamic investment firm with a diversified portfolio of companies across Asia, including India. The firm operates across various sectors and is committed to delivering long-term value through strategic investments and efficient financial management.
Their Mumbai office is seeking a highly meticulous and detail-oriented Finance & Accounts Manager to support business stakeholders across multiple geographies and industries, ensuring robust financial control, compliance, payroll processing, and reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage day-to-day accounting and transactional activities in accordance with statutory and internal guidelines.
• Oversee Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes across portfolio companies.
• Maintain accurate books of accounts, ledgers, and financial records.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
• Manage end-to-end payroll processing including salary disbursement, statutory deductions (PF, ESIC, PT), and compliance.
• Coordinate with HR for employee data management and payroll inputs.
• Ensure timely and accurate processing of reimbursements and benefits.
• Ensure payroll-related statutory filings and compliance with applicable labor and tax laws.
• Handle all direct and indirect taxation matters including TDS, GST, tax filings, and returns.
• Liaise with external tax consultants to ensure compliance and timely submissions.
• Monitor changes in tax regulations and assess business impact.
• Oversee vendor payment cycles, contract compliance, and relationship management.
• Handle banking operations including payments, reconciliations, and fund management.
• Liaise with external auditors, banks, tax consultants, and internal stakeholders for audits, queries, and documentation.
• Support business units by explaining financial information and processes in a clear, structured manner.
Requirements:
• Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) with 5–8 years of relevant post-qualification experience.
• Experience in a service provider environment or working across multiple industries/sectors preferred.
• Hands-on experience with payroll processing and statutory payroll compliance.
• Strong understanding of accounting standards, TDS, GST, and statutory filings.
• Highly detail-oriented and process-driven with strong analytical skills.
• Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
