About The Role
We are looking for a Finance Administration Assistant who has a passion and commitment to supporting the needs of people with a disability and will bring a ‘hands on’ professional approach to their role. You will be someone who is keen to work at all levels, including undertaking the day-to-day administration and financial duties of the organisation.
As a Finance Administration Assistant at Everyday Independence, no two days will be the same. If you were here last week, these are some of the things you may have done:
Worked daily in the Xero accounting system
Ensured all accounting data entries were promptly recorded into the system with high accuracy
Communicated unusual data that requires attention to the relevant stakeholders
Assisted the Finance Partner with month end reconciliation work to ensure data is reliable and useful for further analytical review work
Verified invoices against purchase orders
Communicated effectively with internal and external stakeholders via phone and email
Assisted with collection activities and maintained the collection records as assigned by the Finance Partner
Administration tasks which may have included posting of documents, photocopying, co-ordinating office purchases for Finance team, etc.

To be considered for this role you’ll need:
Qualification in Finance or Accounting (preferred)
Ability to use Xero accounting system is preferable although support and training will be provided
Demonstrated ability to meet legislative, statutory and contractual obligations
Highly developed organisational and administrative skills with the ability to meet deadlines and work autonomously
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to deal with sensitive and confidential information
A commitment to supporting the needs of people with a disability
Must be a ‘hands on’ team member who is keen to work at all levels, including undertaking the day-to-day administration and financial duties
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with commitment and dedication
Prior to commencement, you’ll also need to obtain a Working With Children’s Check and NDIS Workers Screening Check
