Job Details
Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.
2. Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances, or other issues.
3. Support current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation, and preservation of human capital.
4. Develop and monitor overall HR strategies, systems, tactics, and procedures across the organization.
5. Nurture a positive working environment.
6. Oversee and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high performance.
7. Maintain pay plan and benefits program.
8. Assess training needs to apply and monitor training programs.
9. Report to management and provide decision support through HR metrics.
10. Ensure legal compliance throughout human resource management.
11. Manage the talent acquisition process, which may include recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of qualified job applicants.
12. Collaborate with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
Qualifications:
1. Proven working experience as HR Manager or other HR Executive.
2. People-oriented and results-driven.
3. Demonstrable experience with HR metrics.
4. Knowledge of HR systems and databases.
5. Ability to architect strategy along with leadership skills.
6. Excellent active listening, negotiation, and presentation skills.
7. Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company.
8. In-depth knowledge of labor law and HR best practices.
9. Degree in Human Resources or related field.
10. SHRM Certified.
11. Minimum of 5+ years of experience in a similar role.

Description
The Human Resources team at Leidos currently has an opening for a Human Resources Director to work at our Reston location directly supporting one or more Executive Leadership Team members and the functional components they lead. This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience to shape and execute HR outcomes at the highest levels of the company.
Primary Responsibilities:
The HR Director will lead Human Resources for one or more Enterprise Functions, company-wide. The successful candidate will work directly with executives in designing, delivering, and assessing workforce solutions, contribution to developing ways to attract, retain, develop and deploy talent to support enterprise performance and growth. The position requires building strong working relationships with senior leaders and utilizing strong business acumen and leadership to provide effective consultation, advice, planning, and execution. Talent development (including leader development), organizational design, and change management are areas of high priority. The role also requires collaboration with many business functions in shaping HR solutions. The HR Director will manage at least one HRBP and will function in a one team environment, leveraging peers and other HR talent, while also supporting cross-functional initiatives and projects. The HR Director will proactively diagnose business needs and implement solutions to continually improve organizational performance. The position will also serve as a key leader within the Enterprise Functions HR Team, reporting to the Vice President, Human Resources for Enterprise Functions.
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration (or any related field) and 15+ years of relevant experience with at least 2 years of experience in a role supporting senior and/or executive management/leadership at a mid- to large-sized federal contractor.
• Experience working with management of all levels, to include first-level supervisors through to senior-level management.
• Broad HR expertise with strong project management and organizational skills, strong follow-through and attention to detail.
• Demonstrated results in being a proactive solution designer able to think big-picture while being resourceful in creating innovative, agile solutions with a focus on results improvement.
• Experience creating and implementing Talent Development plans and solutions.
• Deep experience in employee relations.
• Strong verbal and written communication and consultation skills with ability to distill complex issues into executive-level presentation.
• Strong business acumen with an ability to diagnose and support data-driven decision-making
• Must be proficient in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
