Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and driven Plant Manager to lead and oversee all production operations at SEMCORP Sidney. This role is critical for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the facility, driving continuous improvement in output, quality, and cost control, while fostering a safe and collaborative work environment. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership skills, extensive hands-on production experience, and a passion for operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Production Management:
• Plan, organize, and oversee all aspects of plant production to achieve operational goals.
• Continuously optimize production processes to improve efficiency and reduce operational costs.
On-Site Operations:
• Manage daily plant operations to ensure smooth execution of production schedules.
• Maintain high operational standards, including 5S, equipment maintenance, and compliance with safety regulations.
Team Leadership:
• Recruit, train, and develop production team members to build a high-performing workforce.
• Foster a culture of teamwork, continuous improvement, and employee engagement.
Quality and Delivery:
• Ensure product quality meets both company and customer standards, leading quality improvement initiatives.
• Communicate with customers to meet delivery timelines and resolve any quality-related issues.
Cross-Cultural Communication:
• Serve as a key communication bridge between teams in China and the U.S., ensuring smooth collaboration across cultural differences.
• Facilitate effective communication within the organization in both English and Chinese.
Operational Improvement:
• Lead efforts to improve production efficiency, safety, and overall operational excellence.
• Develop and implement best practices to maintain the plant as a model of operational success.
Safety and Compliance:
• Ensure a safe working environment and compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and company standards.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree or above, with at least 10 years of experience in manufacturing management, preferably in films, lithium-ion batteries, automotive parts, or chemicals.
• Familiarity with both Chinese and American corporate cultures and practices, preferably bilingual proficiency in Mandarin and English.
• Proven hands-on experience in plant operations and production management, with strong on-site leadership capabilities.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with a track record of building and motivating high-performing teams.
• Familiarity with quality management systems and lean manufacturing principles.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for operational excellence and continuous improvement.
