Qualifications
Knowledge of principles and practices of human resources; applicable state and federal employment laws (e.g., FLSA), the Commonwealth of Virginia's compensation and classification system; and compensation policies and practices

Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
Education or training in Human Resources, Business, or related field; skill in
using state HRIS system (Cardinal HCM) or similar system
Certification in Human Resources (e.g., SHRM-CP, SCP, PHR or SPHR) or as a Certified Compensation Professional (CCP)

Job Duties

The Virginia Department of Veterans Services (DVS) serves Virginia's veterans and family members by ensuring they receive the benefits, support, quality care, and recognition they have

The Senior Compensation Analyst will provide professional level compensation and classification support and guidance to agency managers and employees. Manage a broad range of human
resource activities including pay determination, job analysis and classification, and compensation analysis. Minimum Qualifications

Additional Considerations

Education or training in Human Resources, Business, or related field; skill in
using state HRIS system (Cardinal HCM) or similar system. Certification in Human Resources (e.g., SHRM-CP, SCP, PHR or SPHR) or as a Certified Compensation Professional (CCP)
