We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Service Manager for Commercial Cleaning Operations to lead and coordinate cleaning services across commercial buildings, industrial sites, and orchard facilities. This role requires strong organisational, leadership, and operational management skills to ensure high standards of hygiene, safety, and compliance while managing diverse site requirements and workforce logistics.
Employment: Full-time, permanent
Hours: Minimum 30 hours a week
Wages: $30.00-$35.00/Hr
Location: Tauranga, Bay of Plenty
Manage and supervise the planning and implementation of cleaning services across commercial properties, industrial sites, and orchards, ensuring all tasks are completed effectively.
Managing and planning workforce deployment and managing job timelines to accommodate site-specific requirements.
Oversee rostering and time management of cleaning crews, aligning team capacity with the project scope and environmental conditions.
Conduct regular site inspections across industrial and commercial sites to ensure all cleaning work meets hygiene, safety, and compliance standards.
Develop and implement quality assurance procedures tailored to the specific challenges of Commercial, industrial and Orchard cleaning.
Lead resolution of service issues by working closely with site supervisors and cleaners to ensure quick and effective results.
Negotiate and manage supplier contracts for cleaning chemicals, industrial tools, PPE, and consumables, ensuring all materials meet industry-specific safety standards.
Manage inventory for all job sites, ensuring adequate supplies of cleaning agents and tools.
Monitor the condition and lifecycle of equipment used for large-scale or specialised cleaning (e.g., high-pressure washers, chemical sprayers), coordinating maintenance and upgrades.
Manage a dedicated fleet of transport vehicles for staff and equipment movement, ensuring full compliance with safety and vehicle standards.
Manage commercial cleaning vehicle fleet, establish tracking procedures, and confirm that operational costs stay within budget and are justified.
Manage and organise vehicle maintenance schedules, registration renewals, and roadworthiness inspections, ensuring transport availability aligns with operational needs.
Candidate requirement
· At least 2 years of relevant experience
· Experience working in the cleaning industry, preferably in Commercial cleaning.
· Good knowledge and experience in dealing with cleaning equipment and Chemicals.
· Class 1 driving licence to operate company vehicles
· Clean Police record
