Job description, work day and responsibilities
As an E-commerce Category Operations Planner, you will be focused on tools & training supporting the marketplace business by leveraging their e-commerce subject matter knowledge on e-commerce facing tools and processes by training, sharing insights on tool and process related topics, and driving relevant projects. This work is in support of the category management and digital content teams. You will be a business liaison and will provide relevant business insights while partnering closely with various digital and technology product teams and additional cross-functional teams to drive expected outcomes.
This role is hybrid, which means you will be required to work some days on-site at the Best Buy location listed on this posting and some days virtually from home or other non-Best Buy location. The specific work arrangements vary by role and team. The recruiter or hiring manager will provide more details during the hiring process.
What you'll do
• Lead, support, document and develop e-commerce training
• Advocate and support e-commerce tools and processes, communication approaches, and best practices
• Drive operational improvements around stability, reduce cost, and increase speed-to-market while supporting evolving business needs
• Identify, document, communicate, and drive issue resolution working in partnership with supported teams and digital and technology product teams
• Participate in various projects to foster e-commerce business knowledge
• Communicate and support change management approaches on how new features and functions are introduced to the BestBuy.com experience
• Provide supported teams with ongoing subject matter expertise insights and direction
Basic qualifications
• 2 years of experience in e-commerce, retail, marketing, merchandising, online marketing or web analytics
• Intermediate Microsoft Office experience
Preferred qualifications
• 1 year of project management or process improvement
• Basic knowledge of the Mirakl platform
• Experience in developing training materials and leading training sessions
• Experience collaborating in highly-matrixed organizations
• Knowledge and use of E-Commerce associate-facing tools supporting the Category Management and Digital Content teams (Gandalf, Preview, Workfront, Site Control, DAM, etc.)
