Conduct regular inspections of equipment and tools, ensuring they are well-maintained and safe for use.
Collaborate with management to develop training programs for staff, enhancing skills and promoting professional growth.
Maintain accurate records of production metrics, inventory levels, and employee performance.
Enforce safety protocols and regulations within the shop to promote a safe working environment for all employees.
Facilitate communication between departments to ensure smooth operations and resolve any issues that arise.
Requirements
Proven experience in a supervisory role within a heavy equipment and trucking service environment.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively.
Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
Familiarity with heavy equipment, equipment operation, and safety regulations.
Ability to understand basic job site and on and off loading trucks and trailer, basic heavy machinery mechanical skills.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with team members and management.
Proficient in using basic computer software for record keeping and reporting purposes.
