Job description, work day and responsibilities

re you ready to shape and elevate the HR function within a growing, forward-thinking professional services firm? We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced HR Manager to really build something special.

Our client really does have a strong sense of community and a commitment to doing things differently. With 110 employees (and counting!), they are expanding, evolving, and looking for an HR Manager who can bring fresh ideas, structure, and a proactive HR approach to their team.

This is not a super-corporate, suit-and-tie kind of place. They believe in a balance of professionalism and personality, and with offices in Leamington Spa, Coventry, and soon Birmingham, the environment really reflects their culture. Their teams enjoy a great working culture, competitive benefits, and a strong focus on engagement and wellbeing. We are looking for somebody who is passionate about people and happy to spend your time across both their Leamington Spa office and Coventry office.

The Role

You’ll be the driving force behind the people strategy, moving from more of a reactive approach to a proactive, structured, and engaging HR function. Some key focuses will include:
• Employee Relations: Being a trusted advisor for all HR matters, building strong relationships with managers and supporting them in driving high performing teams.
• Policy & Process Overhaul: The policies, procedures, and employee handbook need a fresh look to match the evolving business.
• HR Analytics: Building a meaningful HR Dashboard that can be reported on at board meetings.
• Absence Management
• Recruitment & Talent Strategy: Developing talent pools, employer branding, and smarter hiring strategies whilst also owning any ongoing recruitment.
• Employee Engagement & Wellbeing: Supporting and growing wellbeing initiatives, recognition schemes, and the engagement strategy.

This is a stand alone role – so if this is of interest, you will be responsible for all of the administration that comes with the employee life-cycle so must be happy to roll your sleeves up and get stuck in.

About You

We’re looking for an experienced HR professional who is:
• Forward-thinking & proactive – you see opportunities and make them happen.
• A self-starter – comfortable working autonomously and driving change.
• Approachable & people-focused – our client thrives on warmth and collaboration.
• Strategic & analytical – able to bring structure, insights, and solutions to the leadership team.
• Experienced – with a solid background in HR, ideally CIPD qualified, and strong UK employment law knowledge.

What’s in it for You?
• Flexible working hours (core hours +:30am-4:30pm)
• 2pm finish every Friday
• Hybrid working
• Regular social events & engagement budget
• Enhanced pension, maternity, paternity, and adoption leave
• Funded CPD courses & career development opportunities
• Wellbeing initiatives & mental health firstaiders
• Free parking

This is a brilliant opportunity to shape HR in a growing, values-led company where you’ll feel the warmth and support of a genuinely friendly team. If you’re excited to take on a role where you can truly make an impact, we’d love to hear from you!
